An interactive designer must have many different skills and knowledge in many areas to create products such as Apps, CD/DVD ROMS, online material, kiosk presentations, interactive TV, touchscreen for museums, digital projections for exhibitions, museums and events. An interactive designer will need to have good research skills, good planning skills, ability to use a range of software programs which includes programming, understand and be able to apply good navigation to any product, know about important issues such as copyright, know and understand its target audience.
Often the interactive designer will have to research different cultures and history so that they can create authentic images, objects, and scenes etc.. Therefore, for this project you are asked to study one of the following cultural arts – African art or Japanese Art and research there influences on western art. From your research studies you will need to plan and produce pages for an interactive educational encyclopaedia CD/DVD ROM or an educational App for an iPhone
